My name is Mariann and I am a photographer based in New York City who photographs weddings, family and kids portraits and anything else that inspires me.

On my blog I talk about the current projects I am working on, the weddings and portraits and the stories behind the images.
A few little tid-bits about me:
- I wanted to be an actress then a potter before becoming a photographer
- born and raised in Hungary, in a city that’s loosely translated as “birch-church”
- for a long time I would only eat bread and butter as a kid
- my current favorite music comes from the Killers, Martha Wainwright, Liz Phair and Tori Amos. Also a huge fan of 80’s music and Depeche Mode
- I can easily find shoes that fit me in the kids’ department but somehow I don’t think my clients would take me seriously with Dora or Blue’s Clues sneakers
- favorite New York City landmarks: Flatiron Building, Chrysler Building, Brooklyn and Queensborough Bridges.

I hope you are doing well! I never did contact you to say what a wonderful job you did on Katherine and Derek’s wedding. The pictures were incredible and so imaginative that I would recommend you to all who are planning to get married. Too bad you are in New York and we live in the deep south!!
