Karen+Ashok

Mariann August 30th, 2008

While half the world traveled to China for the Olympic games, Karen and Ashok, a couple from Hong Kong, came to New York City to get married on 8.8.08.

We took photos at some of the classic New York City landmarks and we also stopped at some fun spots such as the Apple store on Fifth Avenue. The weather went from gorgeous and sunny to thunder and rain and back to sunshine - quite a rollercoaster.

Karen and Ashok - Congratulations and best wishes!!

Gloria and Paul’s wedding

Mariann August 25th, 2008

On a beautiful and bright August day Gloria and Paul got married in front of their friends and families at Vineyard Caterers. The couple wrote their own heartfelt vows and exchanged rings in a touching and emotional ceremony. Most of the guests traveled from all over the world to spend this special day celebrating with Gloria and Paul.

The gorgeous bridal bouquet and center pieces were created by Verbena Designs.

Sachiko made sure that Gloria, her mom, and Paul’s mom and sister looked stunning and beautiful.

Video by the super talented Adam from Pennylane Productions.

Thank you Gloria and Paul for asking me to be part of your wonderful wedding day. You two are amazing!!

Dorrie and Nate said “I do!”

Mariann August 24th, 2008

Dorrie and Nate chose the Connecticut shoreline for their wedding.

The ceremony took place in a beautiful and quaint church in Woodbridge. The reception was held at Amarante’s in New Haven.

The view from Dorrie’s hotel room; you can see some of the gorgeous buildings of the Yale campus.

Dorrie wore an elegant and sophisticated Peter Langner wedding gown and Manolos.

Just seconds before walking down the aisle.

The tables were decorated with bamboo stalks and deep red linens.

A beautiful sunset was the perfect backdrop for the last portraits.

Congratulations and warmest wishes to Dorrie and Nate!!

Ann and Matt’s very NYC wedding

Mariann August 18th, 2008

Ann and Matt’s wedding ceremony and reception took place in the beautiful Ritz Carlton in Battery Park overlooking the Hudson river and the Statue of Liberty.

The whole day was a visual feast to the eyes from the colors, through the details and to the locations - everything was planned out so perfectly.

Ann and Matt decided to see each other before the ceremony then the whole wedding party was off to DUMBO for a couple hours of fun and photography. Ann and Matt even arranged a checkered yellow cab from Film cars as the perfect prop for their portraits. Photographing in the Tobacco warehouse was a blast and the whole wedding party enjoyed this little piece of Brooklyn history.

The ceremony, held by Rabbi Jill and Father John, was emotional and touching.

Then the party was on in the Ballroom. The table settings and special lighting reflected Ann and Matt’s choice of colors of black and white and red theme. It was stunning and elegant.

Excellent entertainment was provided by Skyline Orchestras.

The gorgeous bouquets and centerpieces were created by Flower Barn.

And to make sure the whole day went smoothly, Sarah from Brilliant Event Planning was in charge and she did an amazing job.

Ann and Matt - it was a truly fabulous wedding and I am so thankful that I was part of it.

Congratulations and much happiness!!

Christine and Carl tied the knot

Mariann August 9th, 2008

Christine and Carl flew in from Stockholm to get married in a beautiful outside ceremony at Fox Hollow.

Reception immediately followed in the Winter Garden room.

Christine carried a big gorgeous bouquet of her favorite flowers, sunflowers, with crystal branch highlights.

The bridesmaids all wore blue dresses and the cake was also blue with yellow daisies - the same colors as the Swedish flag.

The couple exchanged rings and vows and also lit candles in lanterns symbolizing the joining of two families.
