Norma-Jean and Shawn’s Catskill wedding

Mariann August 31st, 2007

Norma-Jean and Shawn’s dream wedding included a little old church and a big ol’ BBQ.

Their dreams came true when they got married in Saint Mary of Snow in Saugerties, and had a tented barbecue reception at Wolff’s Resort.

Norma-Jean wore a gorgeous designer gown and after the first dress switched into a more casual summer dress along with all the guests.

A Brooklyn catering company provided the great food and the cupcakes and wedding cake was from Billy’s bakery. The cupcakes were a huge hit with kids and adults.

It was a great day with lots of laughter, emotions riding high and everyone having a wonderful time celebrating Norma-Jean and Shawn. Congratulations!!!

You both look so happy and beautiful. A little gift from me - one of my favorite lines from a TS Elliot poem, The Four Quartets - about coming back home to the place you’ve always known, but knowing it for the first time.

We shall not cease from exploration
And the end of all our exploring
Will be to arrive where we started
And know the place for the first time.

Congratulations and many blessings to you both,
    vita longa!
