Norma-Jean and Shawn’s Catskill wedding

Mariann August 31st, 2007

Norma-Jean and Shawn’s dream wedding included a little old church and a big ol’ BBQ.

Their dreams came true when they got married in Saint Mary of Snow in Saugerties, and had a tented barbecue reception at Wolff’s Resort.

Norma-Jean wore a gorgeous designer gown and after the first dress switched into a more casual summer dress along with all the guests.

A Brooklyn catering company provided the great food and the cupcakes and wedding cake was from Billy’s bakery. The cupcakes were a huge hit with kids and adults.

It was a great day with lots of laughter, emotions riding high and everyone having a wonderful time celebrating Norma-Jean and Shawn. Congratulations!!!

Christine+Carl

Mariann August 23rd, 2007

Beach, graffiti, curbside chair, seagulls, Pepsi Cola, mansion - what can all this mean?

One thing only: a great engagement session with an awesome couple! I loved getting to know Christine and Carl and here are some of my favorite shots of them:

Katherine and Derek got married in Battery Gardens

Mariann August 22nd, 2007

Katherine and Derek said “I do” on Saturday in Battery Gardens. Families and guests came from Alabama, Europe and even Australia.

Some getting ready and details shots:

Derek helping his dad with the tie, taken by Amy.

Katherine carried her gorgeous Amsale gown from the hotel to Battery Gardens.

Before the ceremony I took some portraits of Katherine and the bridal party while on the other side of the park Amy got some fun portraits of Derek and the groomsmen. Katherine looked absolutely stunning and some tourists even asked her to pose for a photo or two.

All the bouquets and decorations were done very creatively by Beth Emerson from Bloomsday.

Katherine and her dad ready to walk down the aisle. I also love the lifting the veil moment.

The wonderful ceremony was officiated by Katherine’s close friend, Michele and Michele’s mom.

The reception ended with the song New York, New York and the guests formed one large circle to dance.

Katherine and Derek went on a surprise honeymoon. Derek did all the planning for it and it was a complete surprise to Katherine until they got on the plane.

Wishing happiness to a truly special couple.

Jessica and Nathan’s island wedding

Mariann August 14th, 2007

Jessica and Nathan traveled from Pennsylvania to get married at the Old Field Club on Long Island.

It was a perfect day for a beautiful outside ceremony overlooking one of the many inlets of the Long Island Sound. The color scheme of light blue, tan and chocolate brown carried throughout the wedding party’s outfits, the favors, the cake and the flowers. Jessica personally created the programs, favors, card boxes and wish jars.

Here are some of my favorite moments.

While I spent time with Jessica and the girls, my second photographer, Amy took these great images of Nathan and the groomsmen.

And baby makes three…

Mariann August 9th, 2007

A few weeks after the first portrait session I went back to visit Kay and Romy and their bundle of joy: baby Alexandra.

Here are some images of the beautiful baby girl, who at the time was just 10 days old.

Congratulations to the new parents, Kay and Romy!

Kay+Romy - Expecting

Mariann August 5th, 2007

I photographed Kay and Romy in early July just few weeks before the baby was scheduled to arrive.

We walked around in Park Slope with the new parents-to-be and took some lovely maternity portraits.
