Tara and GR’s North Fork wedding

Mariann June 29th, 2007

Tara and GR chose the North Fork of Long Island for their wedding. The ceremony was held in the beautiful Lady of Ostrabrama church and the reception at the picturesque Raphael’s vineyards.

When I first talked to Tara around Thanksgiving about her wedding plans I already knew it was going to be an amazing wedding.

The bouquets, flowers and centerpieces were the creation of Paul Rueckwald from the Down Home Country Store.

Inside of Raphael’s is just as stunning as outside. We had a chance to take a private tour and even took some images down in the cellar.wedding photography

Tara and GR had four toasts from friends and family that were touching, funny and emotional.

For their first dance the couple chose the song “Oh how happy you have made me” which was really fun, unique and showed off Tara and GR’s personality. wedding photography

Then the party was on! The guest danced all night and the dance floor was packed thanks to Stages.

It was a great celebration and I was honored to be part of it. Congratulations to Tara and GR!

The couple traveled to Peru for their honeymoon.

Special thanks to Mike C: You are a friend and a great inspiration. 8)

The wedding day was a fusion of Chinese and Italian traditions, customs, tastes and colors.

The reception was held at the Davenport Club in New Rochelle. We took advantage of the beautiful weather and took some relaxed portraits of the wedding party and the happy couple at the nearby park and on the beach.

Eunice+Martin

Mariann June 19th, 2007

Photographing Martin and Eunice felt more like a playdate than work. We started taking photos at the hottest Manhattan rooftop bar then we walked to Madison Square Park and the Flatiron Building. Finished the session with hotdogs, burgers and shakes at Shake Shack.

I had a great time; thank you Eunice and Martin!! Can’t wait for the wedding!

Small disclaimer: I don’t make my couples do anything (like climbing on buildings, hanging from the ledge, getting in park ranger’s car, etc); I am just an observer who takes photos of them having fun, being young and in love.

Yeah, I love my job!

Connie+Tom

Mariann June 9th, 2007

I had a blast photographing Connie and Tom’s engagement portraits.
They are not only fun and have great chemistry but the camera loves them as well.
Also, big bonus points to Connie for picking some of my favorite NYC spots for their locations: Brooklyn Bridge, the Cloisters and the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
Here are some of my favorites. I can’t wait for their wedding next September!

PS. If you are a big Sopranos fan like I am, you might remember Connie from the most recent episode (Blue Comet) where she played a psychiatrist who sat next to Dr. Melfi during dinner. Yay Connie!!

Caroline and Robert mixes the sand in the Hamptons

Mariann June 4th, 2007

Caroline and Robert got married at Atlantica in Westhampton Beach.

Their beach themed wedding included the sand ceremony, beach glass colored bridesmaid dresses and personalized shells instead of place cards.

The happy couple had a great looking wedding party and the youngest maid of honor I have ever met: 3 month old baby Ella, Caroline and Robert’s beautiful daughter.

Caroline looked radiant in her Melissa Sweet gown and Kate Spade shoes and Robert was a handsome groom as well.

One of the reception’s highlights was, a special song sang by Caroline to Robert and baby Ella. Caroline paid special attention to all the details from the wedding program and table numbers to the fabulous cake.

Entertainment was provided by Projekt and bouquets and centerpieces by White Iris.

Here is the moment Caroline and Robert saw each other for the first time on their wedding day:

Highlights from the ceremony:

The first dance. I just love Caroline’s expression! It says it all…

Congratulations to Caroline, Robert and baby Ella! Thank you for letting me share your amazing wedding day with you.
