Lisa and Brett tied the knot in Sherman, Connecticut

Mariann September 26th, 2006

Lisa and Brett got married at a beautiful family estate in Sherman, Connecticut.
Lisa was absolutely beautiful in her Stewart Parvin wedding gown and Christian Louboutin shoes.
The outside ceremony was set up over looking Spring Lake and the cocktail hour and reception was held under tents. Jennifer Reilly and her team from Marcia Selden, did the catering and planning. Jennifer who was in charge of everything did an absolutely amazing job.
The picturesque natural setting was enhanced with colored lights on the trees and candles in the lake, a fantastic lightshow inside the tent and hundreds of candles on the tables. Lisa and the bridesmaids’ bouquets and the gorgeous table center pieces were made from orchids and roses , all from Nielsen’s Florist.
Both Lisa and Brett’s dads said toasts and also Lisa sister and Brett’s best man said some warm words.
The band, Future Tense, was rocking all night and Brett’s good friend also entertained the guests with some Tom Petty tunes.

Baby Eric

Mariann September 25th, 2006

I photographed baby Eric a few days ago. He is nine weeks old and a real cutie pie.
His favorite past time is hanging close to his parents, pumping his left fist into the air and playing in his baby gym.
Here are some of my favorite photos of Eric:

Alison and James’ engagement portraits

Mariann September 17th, 2006

Alison and James picked Harkness State Park in Waterford, Connecticut for their engagement portraits. I fell in love with the park; it was so beautiful, versatile and full of picture perfect spots.
We also got very lucky with the weather: we had sunshine and blue sky. We had lots of fun taking the portraits.
Can’t wait for the wedding in October!

Judi and Chris tied the knot on Shelter Island

Mariann September 11th, 2006

It was a pleasure photographing Judi and Chris’ wedding on Shelter Island at the Ramshead Inn.
The bride was wearing a beautiful Vera Wang gown and the groom’s outfit complimented her perfectly. The ceremony was held just outside the inn overlooking the water. The weather was perfect for the outside ceremony and cocktail hour.
The dinner reception was held at the inn. The toasts by friends and family were heartwarming and very original; one of them even included some magic tricks. The reception ended with a family slide show, dancing and delicious cake. The bouquets and table center pieces were from Karen Lenahan Designs and they were absolutely gorgeous.
Wishing lots of happiness to Judi and Chris!

Lisa and Paul’s wedding

Mariann September 3rd, 2006

Lisa and Paul said “I do” in Chester, New Jersey on Saturday.
Hurricane Ernesto definitely put some changes in the wedding plans with the all day down pour, but the happy couple, their families and friends had a wonderful wedding ceremony and a fantastic celebration.
Lisa and Paul exchanged rings in St. Lawrence church and had their reception at the Brooklake Country Club in Florham Park, New Jersey. During the reception there was a kazoo tutorial by Lisa and Paul, great toasts by Chrissy and Chris, and nonstop dancing by everyone. Vali Entertainment provided the awesome music all evening.
Lisa’s favorite color, the color pink, was used as the theme color throughout the day.

I had a great time capturing the happy moments throughout the day.

Manhattan engagement session

Mariann September 3rd, 2006

I photographed Christine and Dan in Central Park and Times Square today.
It doesn’t get much more New Yorker, does it?
We had a great time capturing some portraits against the Belvedere Castle, Bethesda Fountain, the green backdrop of Central Park and the neon lights of Times Square.
Here are two of my favorites from our session.
